The 5th Conference in Emerging Technologies in NDT was held in Ioannina, Greece on September 19th-21st, 2011.
The conference was organised by the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, University of Ioannina. ETNDT5 was overwelmingly successful as it brought together experts in the field from 22 different countries worldwide, both from Academia and Industry.
A broad spectrum of related research was presented during the works of the conference, including optical, acoustic, thermal, electrical and electromagnetic methods together with imaging tomographic and signal processing techniques. Special focus was given on NDE for Civil Engineering Structures and for the first time in the conference series, a multiple session on NDE for the protection of cultural heritage was organized.
